Angels Among Us- Industry Love by Nicole Weaver

Let’s hear a loud cheer for Donna McDine.  I remember the day Donna emailed me my first ever book review. Frankly, I did not know what to expect, but Donna’s review changed my life forever.   The positive review of my book gave me the encouragement to seek other authors to review my book.  The icing on the cake came when I came across the link for Guardian Angel Publishing on Donna’s website.   The name Guardian Angel caught my attention, so I checked out the site.  I was hugely impressed so I decided to submit my manuscript. Much to my delight, Lynda Burch owner and CEO of Guardian Angel Publishing gave me my first ever-traditional contract.
I believe God put people on our paths for a reason.  Out of all the people to review my book, God opened the door for me to meet Donna.  I googled book reviewers and came across many names. I emailed several reviewers, but Donna replied right away.
After joining Guardian Angel’s Yahoo group, I met Mayra Calvani. Wow! Mayra introduced me to the art of book reviewing.  She afforded me an opportunity to read and review her award-winning book, The Slippery Art of Book Reviewing.  That positive experience led me to become a contributor for Blogcritics and   educational expert for Bizymoms.  Thank you, Mayra for inspiring me in such a huge way. Lastly, thank you for giving me my first opportunity to read and review a book.
I must also give a huge shout-out to Lynda Burch of Guardian Angel Publishing.  Honestly, I have to pinch myself daily to remind myself that I am actually part of such a wonderful group of authors.  The Guardian Angel publishing core is by far the most unselfish group of people I have ever met.  Everyone welcomed me warmly.  I have learned a ton about children publishing.  I joined the Yahoo group knowing very little on how to promote my books and myself.
Thank you Donna McDine, you were instrumental in helping me achieve my goal of being traditionally published.  Thank you, Lynda Burch of Guardian Angel Publishing for believing in me and giving me two contracts.  Thank you, Guardian Angel family for helping me shed my rough edges.  Thank you Kai for letting me share this post.
