Blurb A

Can Ella find love in the streets?

Seventeen-year-old Ella Jones worries she’ll become a thoughtless, self-absorbed person like her parents. Instead of living the silver spoon life they’d like for her, she attends public school and works at a café. When she meets Ayden, a homeless boy her age, Ella realizes she has a long way to go to break the mold her parents cast for her.

The best way for Ella to squelch stereotypes and judgment is to spend time with Ayden. As she watches his quiet ways and experiences his gentle treatment she learns about true courage.

But there’s more to Ayden’s story than Ella knows. A secret that could shatter her trust in him. When she comes face-to-face with the truth, will she find she has finally broken free of her parents’ ways, or will she learn she’s just like them?

Worth the Effort – Ella’s Story is a young adult contemporary romance novella at 19,000 words.

Blurb B

The morning Ella Jones forces herself to sit down and make a true connection with the homeless teen living behind the café where she works, she changes both their lives.

A senior in high school and a barista, seventeen-year-old Ella seems to be going places. Yet her parents’ ideas for her future are as fractured as their marriage and neither wants her to pursue her own dreams.

Ayden Worth lives on the streets.

Their friendship buds in alleys and public libraries. His quiet ways and his gentle treatment teach her about true courage. He inspires her to look beyond herself and to be a better person.

But there’s more to Ayden’s story than Ella knows. When their worlds collide in the most unexpected place, Ella feels betrayed. Has her courage grown enough to forgive Ayden’s misrepresentation?

WORTH THE EFFORT: Ella’s Story a young adult contemporary romance novella at 19,000 words.
